The clergy and Lay Eucharistic Ministers make
calls regularly to those who have difficulty getting
out of their home for church or other events and
activities. Holy Communion is readily
available to those that desire to receive this
sacrament. If you are sick at home, and would
like to receive a visit, please contact
the Rector.
If you are going to the hospital, please contact
the Rector in advance if you would like to be
visited while you are a patient there. The Rector
and Lay Eucharistic Ministers are also available to
bring communion to members of the congregation that
are in the hospital.
The Rector should be notified if death is immanent
or comes suddenly, so that pastoral care can be
provided to family members and friends.
Please do not hesitate to call, and please do not
make arrangements with a funeral director until
you have talked with the Rector.
The recommended environment for the Burial
Office is the church, and it is most appropriate
to have the Holy Eucharist as the principle part
of the Liturgy. It is most wise to have
pre-planned with the Rector your own desires or
those of your loved ones before the need
arises. The Rector is willing to discuss
these matters with members of the congregation at
any time.
